Rick Phillips is an accomplished executive and corporate entrepreneur with a proven track record building and scaling technology, media, and fintech businesses. Throughout his career, Rick has driven innovation within organizations, professionalized younger companies and also advised leading companies operating and investing in these sectors. Ash Partners clients have included Apple, Scopely Games, The Chernin Group, Coda Payments, Avia Games, and Ellen DeGeneres.

As Chief Operating Officer at Coda Payment – an alternative payments platform providing cross-border monetization solutions for gaming, streaming, and digital publishers – Rick drove significant revenue growth by transforming the company's commercial operations during his 2023-2025 tenure.

At Fox, Rick built FoxNext Games, a first-party video game studio that created Marvel Strike Force, a mobile ARPG that has generated over $2.5B in revenue to date.  Rick also significantly expanded Fox's intellectual property licensing business in the video-gaming category.

​

Rick has more than 25 years of experience driving growth and building value across technology, media, and financial services.  Prior to Fox, Rick held senior positions at industry leaders including Microsoft, where he and his team launched Xbox Live Video – the first over-the-top streaming service – in 2006. His career also includes executive roles at Liberty Media; Liberty Global; The Walt Disney Company; Goldman Sachs; Gemstar-TV Guide International and MGM Worldwide Television.

Rick holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA from Harvard College.
